How to see your doctor

Routine appointments

The way to see your doctor is by booking a routine appointment. It is better to see the same doctor throughout one episode of illness.

Urgent appointments

Ring at any time to make an urgent appointment. Be prepared to answer some basic questions about your illness, as the receptionist has to ensure that an urgent appointment is necessary. Please do not use this system to 'jump the queue'.

Visits

If your illness means you can't come to the surgery a doctor may visit you at home. Please phone before 10am. We can give you a fuller service if you can get to the surgery.

Telephone advice

Lots of problems can be solved by talking to a doctor. Telephone between 11am and 11.15 am or 5.30pm and 5.45pm.

Out of hours

For the doctors out of hours service phone 0117 9536667 and a message will give you a phone number. Nurses are at the walk in centre (Knowle West Health Park) until 9pm, or phone NHS Direct for advice on 0845 4647. Please do not call the doctors out for trivial illnesses which could wait until the morning.
